Seems like Miss Bulgaria has won the hearts of many Filipinos… again!
Last year, Miss Bulgaria 2015 Radostina Todorova was one of the beauty queens who encouraged former Miss Universe to get her crown after Steve Harvey mistakenly announced a wrong winner on Miss Universe.
Now, her compatriot, Violina Ancheva is making waves in the internet once again!
In a Facebook page on Monday, January 31, Ancheva said she wanted to give away her gown to a Filipino fan who can’t afford a prom dress. The beauty queen encouraged her fans to share her post for she would be leaving the country soon.
In her interview with CNN Philippines, the Bulgarian beauty queen said, “I want the girl to wear the dress to be beautiful and happy.”

Two hours before leaving the country, Ancheva chose a lucky 15-year-old girl named Zhyra Cifra to be the successor of her gown.
Her mother, Issay Gallano, was the one who received the Sherri Hill gown. Gallano said she could not afford to buy a prom dress for her daughter and that she was ready to pawn her necklace to add to her budget.
“I was checking my SSS already to renew my loan so I can buy her a dress because she really wanted a memorable prom this year,” she said on her interview with CNN Philippines.
In her social media accounts, Gallano posted photos of her daughter wearing the two-piece gown.
“Thank you so much Miss Bulgaria. You have a beautiful heart. We wish you all the best. God bless you and your family, she captioned.
Todorova and Ancheva might not have won the Miss Universe crown, but they have surely won the hearts of many Filipinos.
