In a recent story conference held on Saturday, January 13, the cast of the highly-anticipated GMA Afternoon Prime drama series, ‘Mommy Dearest,’ gathered to kick off the official production of the show.
The series boasts a star-studded lineup featuring Camille Prats, Shayne Sava, and Katrina Halili in the lead roles, supported by a talented ensemble cast.
Under the direction of Gina Alajar, the series also includes Dion Ignacio, Prince Carlos, Amy Austria, Winwyn Marquez, Mel Martinez, Riel Lomadilla, and Viveika Ravanes.
The narrative centers around Maria Angela Caparas, affectionately known as Mookie (Shayne Sava), who, due to a severe illness, is confined to her home under the care of her mother, Olive (Camille Prats).
Despite the constant presence of her mother, Mookie experiences a lack of love and nurturing, finding solace in their house help, Emma (Katrina Halili).
As the plot unfolds, a hidden secret about Mookie’s true identity comes to light, carefully concealed by Olive, with Emma being the sole confidante. ‘Mommy Dearest’ promises a gripping storyline filled with suspense, mystery, and emotional twists as Mookie embarks on a journey to uncover the truth and seek the love of a genuine mother.
