Photos of former ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemates Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley together in Hong Kong recently went viral, sparking speculation among fans and shippers.
The images, first shared by a netizen on Reddit, showed Salamanca and Ashley visiting Hong Kong Disneyland, both wearing face masks, caps, and hoodies, seemingly to avoid recognition. Other photos suggested that the two had dinner together, with the pair even taking photos of each other.
Although the original post has since been deleted, screenshots circulated widely on social media, fueling rumors and mixed reactions online. Some fans questioned how the trip might affect Salamanca’s on-screen partnership with Brent Manalo, her established loveteam from ‘PBB’. Others recalled Ashley’s past admission during ‘PBB’ that Salamanca was his type.

Amid the speculation, Salamanca’s management moved to clarify the situation.
According to Katrina Aguila (published by Journal News – Vinia Vivar), one of Salamanca’s managers, the trip was not exclusive to the two celebrities. She said they were with friends, adding that just a few weeks earlier, Salamanca and Manalo had also traveled to Hong Kong together as part of the same friend group. Aguila stressed that Salamanca is currently focused on her career rather than her love life.
Another manager, Jan Enriquez, echoed the clarification in a Facebook post, writing: “what she said.. i hope this suffices because there is really not much to say kasi ganun lang po kasimple ang kwento. malinaw din na malisyoso at may masamang intensyon ang post na pinagmulan nito so lets not give this person any power. salamat sa pangunawa. pasensya din sa mga nastress o nagalala.”
Enriquez further assured fans that Salamanca remains busy with multiple projects: “rest assured, Mika is booked and busy. She is taping for her serye, she will soon release her first single, nashoot na rin namin ang music video nun, she will perform in her first ever music fest, we also shot a magazine cover that will come out soon, may movie offers din that we are currently reviewing. Mika is working so hard para may magandang maipakita sa mga supporter nya. Lets cut her some slack please and spread positivity instead.”
Salamanca is currently identified with her loveteam partner Brent Manalo, while Ashley is linked to Bianca de Vera, alongside fellow ‘PBB’ alumnus Dustin Yu.
As of now, both camps maintain that the Hong Kong trip was purely friendly, urging the public to avoid malice and speculation.
