Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz are back!
The two are set to reunite in the upcoming film “Dear Future Husband,” their first film after three years.
On February 24, photos of Kapamilya songstress Sarah Geronimo wearing a wedding gown circulated in social media. The photo was taken and uploaded to Instagram by her fan. It was revealed that Geronimo was shooting the scenes from their upcoming film.
In her previous interview, Geronimo revealed that the idea behind their reunion film came unexpectedly when she was asked by then-CEO of ABS-CBN Charo Santos.
“Nagkataon noong umakyat si Ma’am Charo nu’ng Christmas special, sabi niya, ‘O, gagawa pa ba kayo ng movie ni Lloydie?’ Nagulat ako. Siyempre si Ma’am Charo, nakakahiya mag-decline. ‘Opo!’ Gusto rin naman ng mga tao. Nandito naman tayo para paligayahin ang mga tao,’” she said.
Cruz, for his part, said they should push for their reunion film because fans have been urging them.
He explained, “I am always excited na makasama si Sarah. It’s been a while. Matagal-tagal na ‘yung huling pagsasama namin. Kapag tumagal pa, baka hindi na mangyari. Dapat mangyari na s’ya. Life is short.”
Furthermore, ABS-CBN News reported that their film will be released in cinemas during the second quarter of 2017. As of now, no other details about the film have been revealed.
