The episode featured the life story of the latest Pinoy singing sensation on YouTube, Zendee Rose. Zendee’s unexpected rise to stardom happened when a video taken of her while singing the song “And I Am Telling You” inside a mall was uploaded on YouTube and has since received close to 2.5 million views.
In October, Zendee landed on the studio of the popular US talk show “The Ellen Degeneres Show.”
Based on the Mega Manila TV household ratings data (exact overlaps) of the more trusted ratings provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, Magpakailanman got 18.7% versus Wansapanataym’s 16.7%, and 22.4% versus Maalaala Mo Kaya’s 20.7%.
Meanwhile, “Watta Job,” also a new kapuso program hosted by Chris Tiu and Heart Evangelista which also launched last Saturday, won big time against its competitors TodaMax and Banana Split Extra Scoop. “Watta Job” garnered 15.7% versus TodaMax’s 9.8% and 12.7% versus Banana Split’s 8.4%. This is also based on the exact overlaps ratings from Nielsen’s Mega Manila TV Audience Measurement.
Magpakailanman airs at 7:30pm while Watta Job airs at 10:00pm every Saturday on GMA-7.
