Someone is pushing actress Ellen Adarna to audition for the most coveted role Darna.
The film “Darna” was supposed to be top-billed by actress Angel Locsin. However, the 29-year-old suffered from spinal damage – leaving her no choice but to withdraw the iconic role.
Since then, fanclubs of respective Kapamilya actresses (or even some Kapuso ones) debate on who should swallow the legendary stone.
But if the audition for “Darna” starts, Ellen said she prefers to play the superheroine’s mortal enemy from the film instead. This is none other than Valentina. However, according to Abante’s report, Ellen posted an Instagram Story and shared that she has no chance to play the iconic role.
“Hindi ko kaya maging Darna! Wala na akong pag-asa! Pero gusto ko maging Valentina!,” she wrote.
In the last 15 years, Valentina were played by three actresses. In 2005, Alessandra De Rossi portrayed the infamous character; while in 2009, “Starstruck” alumna Iwa Moto played the supervillainess. In 2010, ABS-CBN’s “Wansapanataym” revamped the character of Valentina; thus she became a hero. “Star Circle Quest” alumna Melissa Ricks played the role.
