TV host Jose Manalo has announced his engagement to partner Mergene Maranan.
On Friday, December 6, Mergene shared a heartwarming video of the proposal, accompanied by the caption: “The easiest YES I’ve ever said.”
The video shows Jose singing ‘Ikaw’ by Yeng Constantino before getting down on one knee to propose. Overcome with emotion, Mergene can be seen in disbelief as Jose presents her with an engagement ring and asks, “Will you marry me?” Mergene’s response was a joyful “Yes.”

Jose Manalo, who had been separated from his late wife Anna Lyn Santos, has five children, two of whom, Nicco and Benj Manalo, are also known figures in the entertainment industry.
