Kapuso shows dominating weekend programming.
In the latest results from AGB Nielsen NUTAM People survey for May 20 – 21, 2017, GMA Network shows edged Kapamilya rivals to dominate weekend programming.
Its latest afternoon drama anthology, “Tadhana” hosted by Marian Rivera, started strong placing 3rd on Saturday daytime rankings. “Tadhana” scored 6.9%, 1.2% short of number two program “Eat Bulaga” with 8.1%. This latest drama anthology which features stories of Overseas Filipino Workers replaces former weekend drama anthology “Karelasyon”. This is also Marian Rivera’s comeback hosting stint after “Yan Ang Morning”.
If GMA dominates daytime, the same story goes in primetime as Kapuso primetime drama anthology “Magpakailanman” took back weekend leadership.
After bowing to “MMK” last week featuring Hero Angeles, “Magpakailanman” once more assaulted the top spot with the story of comedienne Boobsie. The episode scored 10.9% ratings beating “MMK’s” 9.5% which featured the story of a mother who lost her to a kidnapper played by Dimples Romana opposite Angel Locsin.
