My Ilonggo Girl proved to be a delightful watch to avid Kapuso viewers, achieving consistently high ratings that solidified Jillian’s status as a leading Kapuso star on primetime. Notably, the show reached a monumental 7.8 aggregated people rating on Thursday, March 6, spotlighting the show’s massive popularity. This victory does not only highlights the young actress’ mass appeal, but also marks a significant achievement for the program and GMA Network’s primetime block, given the failure of the two preceding shows to win their respective timeslots.
Despite the debut of a new rival show, Saving Grace, which only managed to snag a 5.7 people rating on the same date, My Ilonggo Girl did not maintain its viewership but also improved, illustrating how the series kept its audience glued on its lighthearted storyline.
