Bela Padilla calls out Sarah Discaya for taking two soft drinks during Senate hearing

Actress Bela Padilla once again expressed her disapproval of contractor Sarah Discaya, this time over a seemingly trivial but symbolic act caught on video during a Senate hearing on anomalous flood control projects.

In a clip that has since gone viral, Discaya was seen smiling as she received two cans of Coke during the session. Bela reposted the reel on her Instagram Story, adding the overlay text “Me pag may kasamang Coke ang ulam” with a simple “Yes.”

She followed it up with a sharper remark: “Siguro pwede naman humingi ng isa pang Coke pag naubos yung una para lahat mabigyan muna, no? Dito pa lang kitang-kita mo na eh,” the actress commented.

Netizens quickly echoed Bela’s sentiments, accusing Discaya of being inconsiderate.

“Gahaman hahah,” one wrote, while another said, “Hindi health ang iniisip nyan but yung satisfaction na nakakuha siya ng extra sa allocation niya, and that is greed.”

Others, however, defended Discaya, saying the second drink was intended for her husband, Curlee. “Tig-isa kasi sila, sweet nga eh. Ang kaso, tinanggihan ni Curlee kaya sa kanya na lang napunta,” a commenter explained.

This isn’t the first time Bela has been criticized for being “OA” in her reactions. Earlier this week, she went viral for blasting Discaya over substandard DPWH projects, calling her behavior “literally walang hiya.” In the past, she also drew flak when she backed Jodi Sta. Maria’s call to “Stop the killing of cows,” earning ridicule from Duterte supporters.
