Avon kicks off ‘Feel Yourself Pink Campus Tour’ at UST with Kyline Alcantara leading Breast Cancer Awareness Drive

Avon Philippines officially launched its ‘Feel Yourself Pink Campus Tour’ at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), with Avon ambassador Kyline Alcantara leading the campaign’s first stop to empower young Filipinas about breast cancer awareness and early detection.

The campus tour marks the start of Avon’s nationwide initiative under its long-running Breast Cancer Promise campaign, which focuses on encouraging self-checks and educating the youth about breast health.

“It’s never too early to take care of your breast health. Early detection can make a big difference, and I hope more young women feel comfortable talking about it,” said Kyline Alcantara. “I’m glad to be part of Avon’s Pink Campus Tour so we can learn and remind each other to ‘feel yourself’ through regular self-checks and look after our health.”

According to Avon, breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women, affecting 1 in 8 globally. More cases are now being diagnosed among women in their 20s and 30s, disproving the notion that it’s “too early” to worry. Early detection, especially when the disease is in its localized stages, can result in a 99% five-year survival rate.

For over three decades, Avon has been at the forefront of this advocacy—donating over $951 million to breast cancer causes, educating more than 180 million people, and funding screenings for over 20 million women worldwide.

“For 139 years, Avon has been more than just a beauty brand. We’ve always been a brand with a purpose, and one of the causes closest to us is the fight against breast cancer,” said Marion Limlengco, Head of Communications at Avon Philippines. “Our Breast Cancer Promise is about empowering everyone of all ages to act early, because self-checks are often the first step toward early detection—and early detection saves lives.”

The Pink Campus Tour aims to normalize conversations around breast health among students while equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to practice regular self-examinations. The tour will make stops at various universities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including FEU, Ateneo de Manila, PUP, Adamson, NU Manila, DLS-CSB, UP Diliman, and West Visayas State University until November.

Avon’s advocacy extends beyond education through its partnership with the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) and the Avon Pink Bus mobile clinic, which brings breast cancer screenings and consultations directly to communities.

“Early detection should be a habit, not a privilege,” shared Bea Bravo, Deputy Country Marketing Head of Grab Philippines, one of Avon’s partners for the campaign. “Together with Avon and the PCS, we’re removing barriers so young women can act early and confidently. Awareness saves lives, and routine protects them.”

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Avon will also donate a portion of proceeds from select beauty, fashion, and body care products to the Philippine Cancer Society, allowing customers to contribute to the cause with every purchase.

Other Avon ambassadors including Kaori Oinuma, Maymay Entrata, and Enchong Dee are set to join select tour stops in the coming weeks to further amplify the campaign’s message of empowerment and prevention.

Through initiatives like the Feel Yourself Pink Campus Tour and the Pink Bus mobile clinic, Avon continues to champion a culture of awareness, access, and action—reminding everyone that early detection saves lives. (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
