Despite their rapidly growing popularity, rising stars and loveteam Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji say they remain committed to staying humble and remembering where they came from, even as their careers continue to soar in film, television, and online platforms.

The pair—popularly known as RabGel—have been gaining traction following the success of their Viva One series ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ and ‘Seducing Drake Palma.’ They are now set to headline the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean film ‘A Werewolf Boy,’ produced by Viva Films and directed by Crisanto Aquino. The movie serves as Viva Films’ opening salvo for 2026 and is scheduled for nationwide theatrical release starting January 14.
During the film’s recent grand mediacon, both actors reflected on how they keep themselves grounded amid their sudden rise to fame.
“Kapag magbabago ka, conscious ka doon. Iniisip ko sa sarili ko na I’m just the same old me. Lagi kong ni-reremind ’yong sarili ko na I’m still the old Angela with better opportunities, but I’m still remaining true to myself,” Muji said.
Angeles echoed the sentiment, saying that while his daily life has changed, who he is as a person has not.
Beyond acting, the two also shared their aspirations as a loveteam. Angeles revealed that performing together onstage is something they often talk about.
“Gusto namin mag-concert tapos sasayaw kaming dalawa. Lagi naming napag-uusapan ’yon. Gusto namin sumayaw na magkasama,” he said.
Muji, meanwhile, addressed the possibility of solo projects or working with different co-stars in the future, emphasizing mutual support regardless of career paths.
“If there was a chance na magka-movie siya with somebody else or magka-project ako na ’di siya kasama tapos mag-iba career paths namin, we’ll always be there for each other, rooting for one another. ’Yun naman po ang pangarap namin sa isa’t isa,” she said.
She added that their ambitions go beyond personal success.
“We keep aiming higher. Wala naman pong masamang mangarap, ’di ba? Kaya we just really want more. Gutom pa po kami matuto, gutom po kami sa projects, and we really want to strive, not just for us, for our own benefit, pero para matulungan namin ’yong pamilya namin at mga mahal po namin sa buhay,” Muji added.
In a separate press conference, Angeles spoke about the natural chemistry between him and Muji, admitting that his admiration for her started long before they became screen partners.
“Yung chemistry siguro nandyan na talaga. Kasi bata pa lang po ako, crush ko na si Angela. Nakikita ko po talaga sa studio. Kaya may chemistry, kasi titig ko sa kanya talagang crush ko siya,” he said.
Muji said she was only recently made aware of Angeles’ longtime crush.
“Ang sabi niya at first is that nakikita niya lang ako and nagagandahan siya. Recently lang niya inamin na crush niya ako. Wala, kinikilig lang ako someone like Rabin says that,” she shared.

She also described working with Angeles as effortless.
“Si Rabin he is very charming in all aspects. So hindi ako nahirapan kilig sa kanya. It comes out naturally kapag may eksena kami and during our workshops. He really makes me feel giddy and happy and that helps with our chemistry,” Muji said.
While their on-screen romance comes easily, Angeles admitted that his role as the silent, primal werewolf boy posed a major challenge.
“Noong una sobrang excited ako gawin to kasi feel ko madali kasi wala akong linya. Pero sa totoo lang sobrang hirap pala. Ito pinaka mahirap kong ginawa. Hindi mo mapapakita emosyon mo kapag di ka nagsasalita,” he said.
To prepare, the actor underwent extensive workshops and even studied animals to better portray the character.

“Kaya ang daming workshop pinagdaanan ko at palagi ako nanunuod ng mga aso. Tinitingnan ko paano sila gumalaw and paano sila sa amo nila. Sobrang hirap,” he added.
Also joining the cast of ‘A Werewolf Boy’ are Lorna Tolentino, Candy Pangilinan, Yayo Aguila, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Albie Casiño, and Rose Van Ginkel. The film is the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean classic originally starring Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young.
