Pilots and content creators Chezka Carandang and Claire Inso have officially ended their relationship and called off their engagement, confirming that they did not make it into the New Year as a couple.

Chezka announced the breakup on December 31 through a heartfelt social media post featuring clips and photos from their travels together. In her caption, she reflected on endings, growth, and love, emphasizing that separation does not always equate to failure.
“Not every connection is meant to last forever, and an ending is not a failure,” she wrote. “Sometimes, it’s a sign of growth and completion. Sometimes, it is a sign of beauty. Sometimes, it is a sign of the truest love of all—the willingness to let someone chase the life that’s calling to them.”
She went on to confirm that the engagement would no longer push through and that the decision to part ways was mutual.
“After much reflection, I had to put off the engagement and we’ve mutually decided to go our separate ways. We’re grateful for what we shared and kindly ask for privacy as we move forward individually,” Chezka said.
She also thanked their followers for the continued support they had shown the couple over the years. “We also want to thank our followers for the support and love you’ve shown us over the past years. It has truly meant so much to us,” she added.
Hours later, on January 1, Chezka shared a more personal post showing herself in tears, opening up about the emotional weight of the decision.
“One of the hardest decisions is walking away from a relationship when there’s still so much love for the person, choosing what’s right even when it hurts,” she wrote.
Chezka and Claire, both former beauty queens, had been together since 2017. Chezka was a candidate in Miss Earth Philippines 2015, while Claire joined Miss Universe Philippines 2023. Beyond pageantry, both pursued careers in aviation while building strong online followings as content creators.

The couple got engaged in mid-2025, but after five months, Chezka confirmed that the engagement had been canceled, bringing their eight-year relationship to an end. As of this writing, Chezka’s breakup announcement has garnered millions of views and thousands of shares on social media, with many netizens expressing support and empathy.
Several followers shared messages emphasizing growth, healing, and the idea that loving deeply—even when it ends—is never a failure. Actress Barbie Imperial also reacted in the comments, expressing shock and sadness over the announcement.
