Following the recent emotional Instagram video shared by Mark Herras, actress and beauty queen Rabiya Mateo also drew concern after posting a heartfelt reel that showed her in tears—prompting messages of support from fans and fellow celebrities.

Mateo shared the video on Friday, February 6, which opens with her visibly emotional and crying in what appeared to be a secluded room. The reel later transitions to clips of her smiling, outdoors, and engaging in activities that suggested healing and renewal.
“I promise it always gets better guys. Hang in there!” Mateo wrote in the caption.
She also included a Bible verse that resonated with many viewers: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit—Psalm 34:18.”
The background music of the reel, ‘How to Save a Life’ by The Fray, further heightened the emotional tone of the post, leading netizens to speculate that Mateo may be going through a difficult personal chapter.

Several celebrities reached out in the comments section to express their concern and encouragement. Comedienne Pokwang wrote, “Yakap mahigpit nak i miss you.” Others, including Janine Tugonon, Danita Paner, and Joj Agpangan, also sent words of love, faith, and reassurance.
Unlike Herras’ earlier viral reel—which showed him crying until the end—Mateo’s video concluded on a hopeful note, with her smiling and appearing emotionally lighter, a detail that many viewers found comforting.
Earlier this year, Mateo publicly revealed that she had been diagnosed with depression with anxious distress in 2025. She spoke openly about her mental health struggles while addressing bullying and its serious psychological impact.
In a previous statement, Mateo shared that she sought professional help, took prescribed medication, and went on a three-month trip abroad to distance herself from triggers.
“Every day was a struggle to survive. I almost deactivated everything and disappear to have a quiet and peaceful life. I fought hard and still fighting up until now,” she said.
Through her recent post, Mateo said she hopes to remind others who may be struggling that healing is possible—even if the process is not linear.
