Actor Yasser Marta revealed that he developed feelings for co-star Robb Guinto while filming their upcoming movie ‘Desperada’, marking his first time doing intimate scenes on screen.
Speaking during the film’s gala premiere, Yasser shared how the experience brought them closer.
“First time kong gumawa ng love scene at inalalayan ako ni Robb (Guinto). Doon ako nahulog sa kanya,” he said with a laugh.
The actor added that their relationship is now going strong and nearing four months.
“Masayang masaya kami,” he said, playfully leaning closer to Robb as if to kiss her.
“Masaya, nasa honeymoon stage pa rin,” he added.
The two clarified that their relationship is genuine and not just for promotional purposes, saying they truly developed feelings for each other while working on the film.
When asked how they would describe their scenes together, Robb jokingly replied, “Nag-iinit, nagliliyab!”
Yasser, on the other hand, described it simply as, “It’s love.”
Aside from the romantic storyline, ‘Desperada’ also features Mhack Morales as part of a love triangle with the pair.
The film goes beyond its intimate scenes, tackling themes such as mental health and the importance of family. Viewers have also praised Robb’s performance, with some noting her strong potential for a Best Actress recognition, while Yasser was commended for his portrayal of a complex character.
Directed by Louie Ignacio and written by Dennis C. Evangelista, ‘Desperada’ is an official entry to the 8th Sinag Maynila Independent Film Festival. The film held its gala premiere on March 23 at Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City.
The cast also includes Sue Prado, Mercedes Cabral, Julianne Richards, Jorge Guda, Marife Necesito, Adda Musni, Joko Rivera, Tabs Sumulong, Maestro Po, Byuti Veloso, and Vhize Negra.
‘Desperada’ is currently showing in select cinemas and will run until March 29.
