Will Ashley and Mika Salamanca have denied that their recent Instagram posts from Bangkok, Thailand were a “hard launch” of their rumored relationship.

Photos from their April 2026 trip quickly went viral after the two shared images of themselves wearing Thai school uniforms while visiting tourist spots and food destinations in Bangkok. The posts sparked speculation online, with some netizens believing the uploads signaled confirmation of a romantic relationship.
In an interview aired on ’24 Oras’ on April 27, both stars clarified that the trip was not exclusive to the two of them and that they were joined by friends.
“Masaya kasi kasama din namin yung ibang friends namin, so talagang naikot namin yung Bangkok, tapos nakakain din kami ng masasarap na food. Kumbaga, na-enjoy din namin yung day off namin after ng napaka-busy na schedule,” Will said.
Mika added, “Nagpahinga po talaga.”
When asked directly about the supposed “hard launch,” Mika simply responded: “Ha, hard launch? Hindi naman.”
Will explained that their posts were inspired by a trending concept online, particularly the idea of wearing Thai school uniforms for photos.
“Hindi nga po namin ini-expect na magiging ganun yung reaction ng mga tao, kasi parang nakita lang talaga namin yon ni Mika as trend,” he said. “Sobrang cute din nung trend, so ayun, sakto, may malapit sa amin na uniform na nagre-rent, so trinay lang namin.”
This is not the first time the two have been spotted together. Earlier in January 2026, photos of them vacationing in Hong Kong also circulated online, adding to speculation about their closeness.
Their pairing has drawn even more attention as both stars are currently part of different loveteams. Mika is paired with Brent Manalo, forming the tandem “MikBrent,” while Will is partnered with Bianca de Vera, known as “WillCa.”
Despite their clarification, some netizens remain unconvinced, especially after Will previously admitted in a vlog that he had long admired Mika since their time inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house.
Both Mika and Will rose to prominence through ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’, where Mika emerged as a Big Winner while Will finished as Second Big Placer. They are currently seen together in the series ‘The Secrets of Hotel 88’, further fueling fan interest in their real-life dynamic.
