It has been an annual tradition for the two noontime shows to come up with a Lenten drama special. “Eat Bulaga!” started the trend years ago which also inspired “It’s Showtime” to follow. GMA Network still controls Saturday viewing of Mega Manila households. In the latest AGB Nielsen survey from March 18-20, 2016, GMA Network shows again controls the top 10 of both Daytime and Primetime blocks. Michael V and Iya Villania’s “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” remains the most watched Saturday program. GMA Network continues to lead in NUTAM Ratings for the month of February 2016. According to the overnight data by AGB-Nielsen covering February 21-29, 2016, GMA Network outshines rival TV stations in the National Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM). For February 2016, GMA Network scores success in both daytime and primetime blocks. GMA Network registered 33% household shares in the daytime block in NUTAM, .5% higher than ABS-CBN’s 32.5%.
