It was obviously Miss Philippines’s shining moment but it became a horrible and awkward situation for Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia when pageant host Steve Harvey initially crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez as the winner, Philippines as first runner-up.
But minutes after Harvey announced Ms. Colombia as a winner, He admitted he made a mistake and confirmed that Philippines won the pageant and Colombia as the runner-up — even showing the cue card to the cameras.
Celebrities, netizens, all nations went abuzz and shared their reactions and comments about Miss Universe where our very own representative Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach won the crown. Some also targeted Steve Harvey on their tweets.
As expected, that moment gained a lot of positive and negative reactions online, and there are posts that lead to affect more and make things complicated and worst because not all people can get and understand their humor that they want to be understood. And also some people said that it’s being insensitive.
