“ASAP 2012” stars in their May 27 episode paid tribute to Filipino-Mexican singer Jessica Sanchez, who made it to the Top 2 of the 11th season of the hit American talent show “American Idol.”
Jessica is known to be the first Filipino-blooded grand finalist in the hit reality singing competition American Idol. She lost to 21-year-old country crooner Phillip Phillips who is the fifth male singer in a row to win the “Idol” title. But even if she did not take the grand prize, there is no doubt that Jessica captured the hearts of thousands around the globe. And for Filipinos, she will remain as the country’s international singing idol!
Angeline Quinto, Jed Madela, Christian Bautista and Juris Fernandez sang the songs which Jessica had performed on “Idol.”
