Another intense musical battle commenced last night (Sept 8) as “The X Factor Philippines” top seven finalists sing hits from the 80s.

The pressure is on for Daddy’s Home and Joan Da as the last mentees of judge-mentors Gary Valenciano and Pilita Corrales. The all-male group is set did a Chicago hit while the 26-year old musician took on a Michael Jackson smash.

Meanwhile, Charice’s girls KZ Tandingan and Allen Sta. Maria respectively did their renditions of songs from popular 80s groups, The Bangles and The Police. Martin Nievera’s Boys, on the other hand, are determined to remain as the only unrattled group at this point in the competition. Jeric Medina sang a George Michael hit, Gabriel Maturan covers a Kenny Loggins classic, while Kedebon Colim summoned Survivor in his performance.

Who among the remaining seven finalists impressed the judges and the public? Be sure to save your favorites from being in the bottom two by voting for them this Saturday night (Sept 8). Tonight, Sept. 9, 2012 is ‘X Factor Philippines‘ elimination night. Only seven acts remain and one contestant will be sent home packing.
