Proof that the internationally acclaimed pop rock band Bon Jovi has managed to cross over from the analogue glam rock era of the 80s to the world at your fingertips of today’s generation is the fact their latest album is being hyped up through the power of advanced technology.

“What About Now”, the group’s 12th studio album, gets to enjoy the unprecedented promotional tool by way of the free Bon Jovi App (downloadable at: http://smarturl.it/BonJoviApp) which “ties together the latest content and cutting edge technologies”, in particular the highly exciting Augmented Reality. This interactive image-recognition experience gives fans everywhere the privilege of seeing 3D imagery of several Bon Jovi visual art work.

Accessible through iPhone and Android phones, AR will sure provide die-hards that “wow” feeling of seeing the latest Bon Jovi album cover art, poster, and other related visuals. You simply point the Bon Jovi app at the specific artwork and right there you will see the animated version of the image popping out in 3D fashion. This is the first 2D animation in 3D space, developed by pioneers of fine art augmentation.

AR users will also gain exclusive access to latest news and content concerning the world-famous band fronted by the superbly talented singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi.

As of this time, the Bon Jovi app has more than 250,000 downloads already. The band’s Filipino fans are expected to increase the number significantly especially with the release of the new album, care off MCA Music Philippines, on March 12.

Bon Jovi’s latest single, “Because We Can”, which opens the much-anticipated album, hit the top spot of global iTunes in 12 different countries. International radio began playing the song last January 7 as it quickly became the group’s biggest single launch in the iTunes era. The instant hit track is co-written by the amiable frontman and high-profile guitarist Richie Sambora.

Completing Bon Jovi are Hugh McDonald (bass, backing vocals), Tico Torres (drums) and David Bryan (keyboards, backing vocals).

For a quick run-through of their long list of hits, Bon Jovi is behind some of mainstream rock’s most enduring songs, including “Bed of Roses,” “Always,” “Livin’ On A Prayer”, “It’s My Life,” “Never Say Goodbye,” “Blaze Of Glory,” “Bad Medicine,” “I’ll Be There For You,” “In These Arms,” among many others.

Number 12 may be their lucky number “these days”, considering that “What About Now” is their 12th studio album, its carrier single shooting to number one in 12 countries, and the twelfth day of March serving as its Philippine release date.

Yet it is now a sure thing that their luck (better said the capability of creating great songs and providing world-class performances) is right home in 2013. In essence, only their kind of act can deliver that augmented reality of global fame and topnotch artistry.
