May 29, 2014 (QUEZON CITY) – As many brides walk down the aisle this June, the most colorful episodes also parade on fashion serye “Magkaribal’s” sub-titled version on The Filipino Channel (TFC) worldwide this month.
After Gelay (Bea Alonzo) agrees to marry Louie (Derek Ramsey), the prized fighter, together with his mentor Mang Oca (Levi Ignacio), formally asks for her hand in marriage from Mang Hermes (John Arcilla) and Aling Sonya (Arlene Muhlach). Seeing it only as a marriage for convenience, Gelay’s step father walks out in disagreement. Aside from Mang Hermes, the wedding meets more opposition, especially from Victoria (Gretchen Barretto) who pushes Gelay to stop the wedding plans. Gelay pursues the plan not because she loves Louie but because she wants to do it for herself. On the day of the wedding, Victoria asks Louie to reconsider and almost suffers a miscarriage after getting rejected. The episode airs June 8 (June 7 Riyadh and London time).
The tension intensifies as Gelay finds out that Louie ran to Victoria’s care. With hundreds of esteemed guests to explain to, she walks out of what could be the most embarrassing moment of her life. Meantime, when the doctor proclaims he could only save one patient, Louie chooses Victoria over the baby but the self-proclaimed fashion queen, who disliked the baby at first, is devastated. The explosive development unveils June 15 (June 14 Riyadh and London time).
The following week on June 22 (June 21 Riyadh and London time), Gelay runs to best friend Caloy (Enchong Dee). While he had to contend with his own futile pursuit of ex-girlfriend Chloe (Erich Gonzales), Caloy comforts his downtrodden friend. Gelay, after mustering enough strength, heeds Louie’s countless calls. In a moment of great realization, she tells him to forgive all those who hurt them, forget the bad memories of their life and just move on.
On the last week of June (June 29 worldwide and June 28 Riyadh and London time), Victoria finds out that Gelay’s business partner Mark (Edward Mendez), like Louie has fooled her estranged sister, albeit in a different way. Meantime, despite the series of unfortunate events in her life, Gelay throws a party to celebrate a new lease at life.
Chapters end and new lives begin at TFC’s “Sub-titled Classics presents: Magkaribal” all Sundays (Saturdays in Riyadh and London) of June on TFC worldwide.
