Filipinos in Japan take the lead in ‘Cine Fiesta’

April 29, 2015 (TOKYO, JAPAN) – Remittance company Speed Money Transfer Japan K.K. (SMTJ) finds more ways to serve Filipinos in Japan beyond remittance with the launch of ‘Cine Fiesta’ in partnership with TFC@theMovies.

You're My Boss Crazy Beautiful YouSpeed Money, a remittance company for Filipino migrant workers in Japan, recently partnered with premier network The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) TFC@theMovies consistent with its mission to become a one-stop shop and reach out to more kababayans through other services, specifically theatrical offerings, especially in remote places in Japan.

Aside from continuously innovating its service offerings so that remitting customers can maximize what Speed Money has to offer, the remittance company has tapped TFC’s wealth of entertainment content in order to bring positive and quality movies that promote good values with the launch of ‘Cine Fiesta.’

For its first major offering, Speed Money and TFC@theMovies treated kapamilyas in Japan with the hit-blockbuster romantic film of Teen King Daniel Padilla and Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo (more known as the KathNiel love team), “Crazy Beautiful You” last March 29 in Goi City at the Chiba Prefecture.

To answer the Filipinos’ craving for more Filipino titles, ‘Cine Fiesta’ made the Pinoys in Japan feel how it is to take the wheel with the romantic-comedy hit of Coco Martin and Toni Gonzaga, “You’re My Boss” about a role-switch between an ‘iron lady’ and her temporary assistant which will be screened on May 6.

According to SMTJ Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director Alex Milan, the Filipino blockbuster films are only two of the many theatrical screenings Speed Money and TFC@theMovies, the company will be holding in the months to come especially with the positive feedback they have been receiving from fellow kababayans. Milan enthuses that the partnership with TFC will solidify their relationship with migrant Filipinos in Japan. “Our partnership with TFC has become a centerpiece for our marketing campaign this year and Cine Fiesta is one major testament at that. TFC is one of the most trusted Filipino entities here in Japan and that is why we are more than excited about this partnership.”

SMTJ, which is positioning itself to become migrant workers in Japan’s remittance company of choice by becoming a one-stop shop payment gateway, is a non-bank remittance entity that caters to the growing needs of the community.

Aside from providing their customers a great value for money for their remittances, SMTJ also offers free remittance for Filipino customers’ contributions to SSS, PAG-IBIG, and Philhealth. They also have a payment facility established with the help of Japan Post offices and have instituted ‘one-hour’ processing procedures through their call center and operations center in the Philippines. These call center operations ensure that both remitters and beneficiaries receive an SMS notification or text when the transaction is already processed.

At present, SMTJ has branches in Tokyo, Nagoya, Roponggi, Kinshicho, Akihabara, and Goi. Speed Money also plans to build more branches in the years to come to serve more remitters in Japan.
