Now we see the performance, commended it and have even commented that he deserves an award, the big question now is, can a TV acting performance have the chance to win a prestigious award?
And the answer is very much yes and gladly, it is possible. There is the PMPC Star Awards for Television. It is an annual award giving body recognizing the outstanding programming produced by the several TV networks in the Philippines every year. Star Awards are considered the television equivalent to the FAMAS Awards (for film) and Awit Awards (for music).
To see the categories that falls under the award giving body, you can check the list of possible award nominations here. But of course, there will be a process before a TV episode or program gets nominated or wins an award. Who knows, with the phenomenal episode delivered by Eat Bulaga of the much talked about “Kalyeserye” this might get the attention of the jury and might have a chance for a recognition and if lucky, an award.
