It is quite amazing to find out that after a short period, “Kalyeserye” on Eat Bulaga managed to bag awards from a religious group.
Fans of AlDub and Eat Bulaga are now rejoicing after receiving 5 awards for Kalyeserye which prove that there are positive things about this viral noon time TV show segment.
The Catholic Social Media Summit or CSMS is a Catholic lay youth group and its fourth year as an independent award giving body, aims to recognize exemplary efforts of personalities in promoting positive Catholic values.
Last October 11, 2015 Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye receives awards at the recent Catholic Social Media Awards (CSMA) through Catholic Social Media Summit in Sta. Rosa Laguna. Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub, Alden Richards, and Wally Bayola aka Lola Nidora were recognized for their positive impact on Eat Bulaga viewers. Producers of the longest running noon time show TAPE Inc. was also cited.
“Because of the very inspiring message they give during Kalyeserye [about] virtues, values, chivalry, modesty, morality, respect for elders, etc. This is the kind [of show] that we don’t see on TV anymore,” said Mon Bandril, representative of the CSMA awards giving body.
During the acceptance speech of the TAPE Inc. vice president and creative head of Eat Bulaga Jenny Ferre she stated “Nung sinimulan namin ang Kalye Serye, hindi namin akalain na magiging ganito kalaki. Salamat sa inyo kasi natuto kayong umibig nang tama…na maghintay sa tamang panahon.” [When we started Kalyeserye, we didn’t imagine that it would get this big. Thank you all, because you have learned how to love right..to wait for the right time]
At the awarding ceremony Maine Mendoza as Yaya Dub said “Maraming maraming salamat po..Aldub you all. Maraming salamat, Aldub Nation. Para sa inyo po itong lahat!.” [Thank you very, very much. Thank you very much, Aldub Nation. This is for all of you!]
The Catholic Social Media Summit through Catholic Social Media Awards noted the following awards:

-Catholic Social Media Achievement Award for producing ‘Kalye Serye’ which gives importance to promoting treasures Christian family values that transcend their homes and inspire other people including in cyberspace. - ALDUB NATION
-Catholic Social Media Achievement Award for spreading ‘Kalye Serye’ values online through inspirational posts and tweets.
Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye stars and producer TAPE Inc. were the very first recipients of CSMA which was launch on October 11 at the 4th Catholic Social Media Summit event for this year.
