A lot has happened to the ever handsome, Richard Gutierrez. He starred in TV fantasy series “Mulawin” and “Captain Barbell” on GMA Network. Watch out for this hunk in 2016 on another TV fantasy series. But this time, we will see him on TV5.
For the past two years, Richard’s career has been on a semi-limbo after his contract ended with GMA Network. He can only be seen on the reality show on cable, E! Channel’s “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez”. He has also been focused on enjoying being a father to his son Zion and being a dutiful partner to Sarah Lahbati.
But now, Richard is raring for a comeback. He is now co-managed by Viva Artists Agency, and being such, he now has a wonderful project in line.
According to Aster Amoyo of Journal Online, Richard will be the next “Panday” on TV5 and he’s very much excited about it. Richard will begin taping for “Panday” in 2016, isn’t that great?
The most popular Panday was Fernando Poe, Jr. And now, Richard was picked to be the one who could do justice to one of the most popular Filipino superhero roles.
He will play as the main character named, Flavio. There are many reasons why Richard Gutierrez has been chosen for the very demanding project. First, he has experience in doing superhero roles. His TV fantasy series back then, on GMA Network were all successful.
But we all know there is actually one requirement to be a believable superhero in TV. One’s body should be perfectly built with toned muscles here and there. Well, those are the elements viewers are looking for anyone who will play Flavio in “Panday” and Richard Gutierrez just fits the role perfectly.
TV5 will start their new year by seriously competing with ABS-CBN and GMA Network shows. They will start with trusting Vic del Rosario to produce “Panday” who they think will be able to up their ratings. It seems, TV5 wants to give the viewers other options to choose from in terms of programming.
The man who will be behind the execution of TV5’s “Panday” will be Mac Alejandre, a trusted film and TV director. Last but not the least, one of the creators of Panday, Carlo J. Caparas, will be working with producer Vic del Rosario to make TV5’s “Panday” a top-notch TV series.
