When news broke out recently that Elmo Magalona has transferred from GMA Network to ABS-CBN, the first question that came to everybody’s mind was, “What about Janine?”
Fans inundated her social media account, asking if she would follow her real life boyfriend and love team partner in his new home network. But in an interview with PEP.Ph, Janine cleared the air and said that she is happy with GMA Network and has no plan to switch networks.
She said she will remain a Kapuso “Kasi masaya po ako sa GMA. Masaya naman ako sa ginagawa ko sa GMA Network, at saka talagang inaalagaan naman po ako ng GMA.”(Because I am happy with GMA I am happy with what I am doing with GMA, and GMA is really taking care of me.)
Janine had expressed her support for Elmo’ s career move. During the December 3 press conference of her first movie titled “Buy Now, Die Later”(MMFF 2015) held at Max’s Restaurant, Scout Tuazon, QC, Janine said that she is happy for Elmo. She added that his transfer does not really pose a problem for them. This shows just how mature the relationship between the couple had become. Their love for each other goes beyond network wars.
Despite their not being together in one network, Janine is sure that it will not be an issue between her and Elmo. What an admirable couple! They have so much trust and respect for each other, it seems nothing can drive a wedge between them.
As a Kapamilya, Elmo will now be part of a new love team called ‘ElNella’, with Janella Salvador. ‘ElNella’ has an upcoming teleserye “Born For You” in the works. Meanwhile, Janine does not have a definite partner yet at GMA Network, but she is enjoying her regular show, “Dangwa” with Mark Herras and Aljur Abrenica.
