Unkabogable star Vice Ganda did not hold back after being accused online of allegedly hoarding tickets for the highly anticipated BTS concert in the Philippines.
The issue began when a frustrated BTS fan took to X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that Vice had supposedly secured 50 tickets for the group’s upcoming “Arirang” World Tour stop in Bulacan, despite ticketing limits imposed on buyers.
The netizen wrote: “Mahiya ka naman Vice Ganda. Ang hirap kumuha ng ticket ng BTS tapos ikaw 50 tix pa nakuha mo. 2 lang max sa website pero sa’yo petiks lang. Nakakahiya galawan mo. Sana lumaban naman kayo ng patas.”
The accusation quickly circulated online amid growing frustrations from fans who struggled to secure seats during the highly competitive ticket-selling period.
However, Vice immediately denied the allegation and strongly criticized those who believed and spread the rumor.
“Mas mahiya ka at ang mga kapwa mong mga bobo na mapagpaniwala sa mga tsismis na pang-tanga!” Vice posted.
He added that people were allowing themselves to be consumed by anger over information that had no basis in fact.
In a follow-up post, the comedian questioned the origin of the claim.
“Bobong mapagpaniwala! San galing ang 50 tix? Aanhin ko ‘yun? 100 ba ang mata at tenga ko kung sakaling manonood man ako? Ni hindi ko nga alam ang schedule ko sa araw na ‘yun!”
Vice pointed out that he has not even confirmed whether he will be available to attend the concert, making the accusation even more absurd from his perspective.
The controversy emerged as Filipino ARMYs continued expressing disappointment over the intense competition for tickets to BTS’ upcoming concerts scheduled for March 13 and 14, 2027, at the Philippine Sports Stadium.
With demand vastly exceeding available seats, social media became flooded with complaints, speculation, and unverified claims. Vice happened to become one of the personalities caught in the crossfire.
Many of the television host’s supporters came to his defense, pointing out that there was no evidence supporting the allegation and criticizing the spread of misinformation during the ticket-selling frenzy.
The original post accusing Vice of hoarding tickets has since been deleted.
