The other half of the phenomenal “AlDub” loveteam Maine Mendoza won the “Favorite Pinoy Personality” award at the 2016 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards (KCAs) held on March 12, 2016, Saturday at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
The “Yaya Dub” bested other Pinoy nominees namely Enrique Gil, James Reid and Kathryn Bernardo for the “Favorite Pinoy Personality” award, after Nickelodeon announced the nominations for this year’s awards show.
Meanwhile, De La Salle University’s (DLSU) basketball star Jeron Teng also won “Favorite Asian Sports Star” award.
In 2012, Charice won “Favorite Asian Act” at the 2012 KCAs in Los Angeles, California. Last year, Daniel Padilla was nominated for “Favorite Asian Act” at the 2015 KCAs and he was also Nickelodeon’s Global Slime Star.
Hosted by Blake Shelton, performers included at the awards night are DNCE, Silento, Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa.
