It looks like a known celebrity advocate of Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte is reconsidering other candidates for presidency one week before the presidential elections on May 9.
Based on his latest posts on Twitter, Parokya ni Edgar lead vocalist Chito Miranda seems to be re-thinking his choice and considering other candidates for candidacy other than his first choice Rodrigo Duterte. He started the discussion by asking his followers on Twitter, “Ano sa tingin nyo? Kelangan natin pumili. Du30 ako pero gusto ko marinig side ng iba. Pls educate me intelligently.”
The outspoken band singer was impressed by the responses of the netizens. “Wow. I’m really impressed with the replies I got. Lahat marespeto yung pag-share ng opinion. Walang badvibes. Sana lahat ganyan mag-discuss.”
The post came immediately after he thanked his Twitter followers for engaging him in a rational discussion of the merits and demerits of all the presidential candidates.
The online conversation which Chito opened went well and he came up with these thoughts on the five Presidential candidates:
He ended the fair discussion with a disclaimer, “Goodluck Pilipinas. Sana makapili tayo ng tama at yung pinakamakakabuti para sa ating future. Di ako political analyst. Bokalista lang ako.”
UPDATE: On one of his replies, Chito clarified that he’s not endorsing any candidate and he’s now considering Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Mar Roxas.
