The most touching network transfers that happened on showbiz is when the King of Comedy Dolphy transferred to the innovating TV5 in 2010. According to Dolphy, he was waiting for a job for past three years and he still wanted to work. The late comedian said that he loves ABS-CBN but he needs to move on. But he promised, “But anytime ABS-CBN needs me, I’ll just be here.”
ABS-CBN responded and said that “Mang Dolphy… will always remain a Kapamilya.”
7. Karylle
Karylle’s transfer to ABS-CBN was a hot topic back then. Fans speculated that her decision to transfer to other network was because of her ex-boyfriend Dingdong Dantes. According to reports, Marian Rivera was the reason of the said break-up. The “It’s Showtime” host said that her break-up with “Alyas Robinhood” actor was “10 times painful.”
It’s been nine years since Dingdong and Karylle broke up, after three years of being in a relationship. Both sides are happily married and already moved on.
