2. Angel Locsin
At the height of her fame in the mid to late 2000s, Angel Locsin found her new home in Kapamilya network. According to reports, ABS-CBN offered the actress thrice her original talent fee in GMA Network. GMA executives were disappointed in this “big switch.” Former SVP for Entertainment Wilma Galvante released her statements through the now-defunct showbiz talk show Startalk; she hoped that Angel “finds peace with her decisions.”
Well, seems like THE Angel Locsin really finds peace in Kapamilya network. She’s enjoying her fame even on hiatus. Well, that’s Angel. What can you expect?
1. Willie Revillame
The success of the noontime show “Wowowee” brought Willie Revillame to fame. He was everywhere back then. His songs were popular among kids, teenagers, adults and elders. To make a long story short, everything that Willie touches turns into gold.
“Wowowee” was an instant hit, consistently beating its rival “Eat… Bulaga!” in rating games. However, in July 2010, ABS-CBN confirmed that they would end the airing of the show. This is after Revillame demanded ABS-CBN to fire entertainment writer Jobert Sucaldito, over Sucaldito’s constant criticisms on “Wowowee.” Revillame went on an indefinite hiatus before announcing that he was ending his contract with ABS-CBN.
Three months after his absence on television, Willie Revillame returned via TV5 with his team. ABS-CBN was quick to file a copyright infringement suit against Willie Revillame, Wil Productions, Inc. and TV5 for allegedly copying “Wowowee” in his new show “Willing Willie.”
Enough of this Willie thingy! He has lots of controversy than your fingers and toes combined!
