Actress Angel Locsin expressed her unwavering support for ABS-CBN, emphasizing that her loyalty to the network remains strong despite being retired and no longer under contract.

In a recent Facebook post, Angel shared photos of the programs she had done with the Kapamilya network before its franchise shutdown and prior to her hiatus four years ago.
“Kapamilya?
“Hindi man Lopez ang apelyido ko—I may be retired and no longer an employee—pero ang puso ko, nandito pa rin. Titindig para sa ating pamilya (praying hands emoji).
“True to your slogan: ‘Once a Kapamilya, always a Kapamilya.’
“Buong puso, hanggang ngayon—para sa ABS-CBN. (heart emojis). #kapamilyaforever.”
Her post quickly gained traction online, earning nearly 40,000 reactions and close to 800 comments from fans and fellow celebrities expressing support.
Among those who reacted was her husband, Neil Arce, who commented, “Naalala ko yan pinapanood ko nung bata pa ko.”
Angel responded playfully, “@neil_arce sakalin kita ng 10x,” drawing laughter from netizens.
Her stepson Joaquin Arce also chimed in with “Goat posting,” referring to “Greatest of All Time,” to which Angel replied with a smiling emoji.
Several Kapamilya personalities also showed their support, including Bianca Gonzalez, television executive Cynthia Jordan, who commented, “I miss you and love you ‘Gel’,” and director Lester Pimentel Ong, who wrote, “Your Kapamilya are still waiting for your comeback project (heart and praying hands emoji).”
Photographer Marc Nicdao also reminisced, saying, “Bessst times,” to which Angel replied, “My loves.”
Despite stepping away from the spotlight for four years, Angel continues to receive overwhelming support from fans, many of whom are still hopeful for her return to showbiz.
Her statement comes amid renewed discussions surrounding ABS-CBN’s situation, particularly following reports that a member of the Lopez family had allegedly proposed shutting down the company due to financial challenges after its franchise renewal was denied in 2020.
Although she has largely remained private since the 2022 national elections, Angel has occasionally surfaced on social media, including showing support for her stepson Joaquin during his stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.
