PTV-4 general manager Dino Apolonio admitted their station is not as excellent as ABS-CBN and GMA Network but he emphasized that they are trying to give their best for the Filipino audiences.
As a state network, Apolonio said they will still focus on news and public affairs and public services.
However, he stressed that there will be some changes in the line-up of their program. The station is also planning to air variety shows, plus a cultural show or tourism show in the future.
Because of this huge revamp, Apolonio was asked if they would like TV host Kris Aquino to be a part of PTV-4.
According to the general manager, reported by Abante Tonite, Aquino’s transfer would take a long time to discuss and to negotiate.
He briefly answered, “We can’t afford her.”
According to Apolonio, the budget of the their network was not enough for the the Queen of All Media.
Since she left ABS-CBN, Aquino’s popularity has became shaky. To make the situation worse, her supposed to be morning show with GMA Network has not been finalized since she needs to wait for other programs to end.
