It’s been a year since actress Claudine Barretto has gone hiatus from showbiz. The actress’ last project was the defunct TV5 series “Bakit Manipis ang Ulap?”, which she played the main role of Marla Alvarez.

Columnist Cristy Fermin might answer our questions. The radio commentator wrote an article in Bandera about the current status of the actress. According to Cristy, she has a friend who saw Claudine and her children at a well-known grocery store.
Cristy’s friend revealed, “Maganda pa rin si Claudine, ang tunay na ganda talaga, hindi naitatago. Pero may problema siya. It must be the reason kung bakit hindi pa siya napapanood ngayon sa movie or sa TV.”
She also wrote: “Malaki pa rin daw ang katawan ni Claudine. Sa madaling salita, mataba ang aktres, kailangan muna niyang magpaliit nang husto para hindi siya maging katawa-tawa sa harap ng mga camera.”

Cristy’s friend also expressed his regret for Claudine because of the actress’ weight.
“Sayang, ang dami-dami nang lumalampas na projects sa kanya. Mag-diet na sana siya nang husto para makabalik na siya.”
In the end, the source revealed that Claudine seems not bothered about her weight.
