AiAi Delas Alas wins Best Actress for Asian Film Festival and Awards

Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas feels so blessed after winning as Best Actress for the ASEAN International Film Festival & Awards (AIFFA) for her indie film “Area” which was held recently in Kuching City, Malaysia.

The star of “Our Mighty Yaya” wrote on her Instagram account: “No words can express my happiness and being grateful for this prestigious award!”

Aside from Ai Ai, director Louie Ignacio (who megged the said film) also won as Best Director. Unfortunately, Ai Ai wasn’t able to personally accept her award in Malaysia. So she turned to social media to thank all the people who supported her and voted for her.

This is Ai Ai’s second international citation. She was previously awarded for the same film in New York’s Queens World Film Festival last March.

Incidentally, Ai Ai’s latest film, “Our Mighty Yaya” will be Regal Entertainment’s Mother’s Day offering which will open on May 10. The film stars Megan Young and was directed by Jose Javier Reyes.
