- Former “Little Big Star” contestant Rhap Salazar shares his reaction on Charice Pempengco’s name change
Rhap Salazar and Charice Pempengco used to perform on-stage together during their “Little Big Star” days back in 2005.
The two grew close to each other when they were young.
Charice declared herself a transman early this month and changed name to Jake Zyrus.
In a Twitter post, Rhap expressed his side towards the reinvention of a former friend.
He wrote, “Charice was my childhood bestfriend in music and I’m gonna miss her. But I’d be happy to meet Jake Zyrus and accept him again in my life.”
