Real-life Barbie and Ken star in much-awaited film “This Time I’ll be Sweeter,” showing on November 8

“This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” is a much-awaited love story-rom-com-drama starring Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan and Thea Tolentino. This film is directed by Joel Lamangan under Mothe Lily Monteverde’s Regal Films. As of November 8, 2017, the movie will be showing in theaters nationwide.

The film shows the love story of Forteza and Chan’s characters: Erika and Tristan. Tristan is considered as a campus heartthrob because of his atheletic abities in swimming. They both grow close to each other but due to an unforeseen event, they part ways.

Erika graduates as a Cum Laude and succeeds as a field reporter. Tristan ends up working for their family business, an airline company. Their paths cross one more time when an incident which involves Tristan’s family and Erika’s career.

“Dalawang beses mo na akong sinaktan, sobrang tanga ko na kung gagawin ko pang tatlo di ba?!” was the line moviegoers and viewers will definitely remember.

Forteza is an actress to be reckoned with considering her triumph as Best Supporting Actress in the 40th Gawad Urian Awards for the film, Tuos, Ani ng Dangal Awardee in 9th Ani ng Dangal Awards and Best Actress in 36th Fantasporto International Film Festibal for the film Laut.

Chan also held his own and delivered such a strong performance as he was a lead star in his very own series, “Destiny Rose” on GMA Network. All for the same role, he gained Most Promising Male Star in 2016 GMMSF Box -Office Entertainment Awards, Best Drama Actor in 30th PMPC Star Awards for Television and Editor’s Choice: Teleserye Actor of the Year in the 3rd PEPList Awards.

Forteza and Chan first caught the viewers’ eyes when they were paired in the GMA Television Series, “Meant To Be.” The Ken-Bie loveteam was born and gave birth to fans who rejoiced when Forteza ended up with Chan’s character at the end of the series.

This Time I’ll Be Sweeter also stars Ara Mina, Rey Abellana, Neil Ryan Sese, Yayo Aguila, Kim Rodriguez, Hiro Peralta, Akihiro Blanco, Jai Agpangan, Kaki Ramirez, Fiona Yang and more.
