After her primetime series “Super Ma’am,” Kapuso Queen Marian Rivera expressed her interest to portray out-of-the-box character in a movie. In an interview with PEP.ph, the 33-year old actress-TV host is now ready to take more challenging roles.
“Open na ako na gumawa ng mga out-of-the box na istorya,” saad ni Marian tungkol sa susunod niyang mga gagawing pelikula. Kasi nanay na naman ako, may asawa ako, puwede na akong mag-take ng risk,” she said.
“It’s about time siguro na gumawa naman ako ng something new. Mga tipong baliw-baliwan, pumapatay, ganun! Wala akong ganun, e. Puro mabait ako, e! Malay mo naman may pagkakataon ako dun. Mas gusto ko nang gawin yung kesa magpa-sexy, mas gusto ko ng mga ganung character. Something new naman for 2018,” she added.
However, Marian clarified that she still has to talk with some of her endorsements before doing those kinds of characters.
“Although siyempre may mga kino-consider kami na mga endorsements, na minsan sensitive sila sa ganyan so hindi puwedeng bara-bara. Kailangan magpapaalam tapos talagang, siyempre kailangan din nating ingatan siyempre, mother imaging,” she explained.
On the other hand, Marian shared that she wants to take a short rest in doing a teleserye to focus more on her daughter Zia.
“At least rest muna ako, for six months naman nasa TV ako ng primetime [via Super Ma’am]. At hindi naman maglalaon may offer naman ang GMA pero sabi ko nga, mag-rest muna ako after “Super Ma’am,” she stated.
“May offer sa akin ang GMA na heavy drama, pero magre-rest muna ako,” she shared.
“Paano ako magbubuntis kung taping ako nang taping? Priority ko naman mag-rest muna. Siguro deserve ko naman, for straight six months [na trabaho], mag-rest muna ako. Pero yung asawa ko siyempre back to work siya. Hindi kami puwedeng sabay at ayokong magkasama kami sa soap kasi kawawa yung anak namin.
“[Pag] Parehas kami sa soap, sinong maiiwan kay Zia? At least kapag siya may soap, ako may soap na magkahiwalay… every other day kasi pinaplantsa namin, e. M-W-F ako, T-TH-S siya. So halinhinan kami,” she added.
