Maja Salvador recently collaborated with Thai singer ToR Saksit for their single, Falling Into You. She admitted her feelings on being chosen to work on the ballad with him.
Maja recorded it with Tor+ in Thailand and shot the music video here in the Philippines.
“I feel so special of course and lucky kasi pinili nila ako na maging part nitong single na ‘to. Kasi sila talaga ‘yung kumontak sa Ivory Music and Video. So ang swerte ko po at ang ganda ng kanta namin.”
Maja shared the great memories she had in Thailand and praised how accommodating and thoughtful ToR and his team.
“ToR is very nice, very accommodating lalo na sa Thailand. Sobrang asikaso ng team niya and ang gaan niya ka-trabaho so sana mahalin nila ‘yung kanta namin at para pabalik-balik si ToR dito sa Pilipinas.”
Maja revealed how she became instant friends with ToR and added how he already knows some of the Filipino characteristics.
“The feeling was like we’ve known each other for a long time and na-break agad ‘yung ice like ‘yung parang he is my friend from Thailand and I’m his friend from the Philippines and then like ‘yung sinabi niya kanina na hindi ganon kahirap because he has Filipino teacher, Filipino ‘yung voice teacher niya so medyo may alam na siya sa characteristic and yung pagkatao ng mga Pinoy so yun.”
However, many have wondered whether she feels ready to take on her career internationally. Maja explained how a person should always be ready for taking risks and challenges.
“Life is full of surprises so I think always be ready and yun naman tayo always taking risks and challenges and si God na ang bahala sa atin kasi I think itong opportunity na to hindi naman ibibigay ni God kung alam niyang hindi nating papahalagahan so thank you Lord.”
