- President Rodrigo Duterte spoke out about Espinosa-Lim drug case.
- Also continuing his war on drugs, he rebuked Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.
Thinking Pinoy recently posted a statement which President Rodrigo Duterte declared through Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque regarding Espinosa-Lim drug case.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) also recently started an investigation on prosecutors who quickly dismissed drug charges against alleged big-time drug lords Kerwin Espinosa and Peter Lim.
In a department order released in March 13, Wednesday, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II directed the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) “to conduct investigation and case build-up to determine possible misfeasance, malfeasance or non-feasance or other violations of law by members of the panel of the National Prosecution Service over the dismissal of the case.”
Harry stated that the president rebuked Secretary Vitaliano. He also declared a statement from the President and said:
“Kapag nakawala yan si Lim at Espinosa, siya ang ipapalit ko. I can review that dismissal order. Nag-amin na nga sa Congress! Why not admit it as evidence against him?”
According to Harry, the President also said:
“I will invoke my power of supervision and control and will review dismissal.”

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry L. Roque, President Rody Duterte had these words for Secretary of Justice Vitaliano Aguirre:
“Kapag nakawala yang si Lim at Espinosa, siya ang ipapalit ko. I can review that dismissal order. Nag-amin na nga sa Congress! Why not admit it as evidence against him?””
