Cristine Reyes dodged the reporters when she attended 49th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards last May 20, Sunday. She went to the awards ceremony to receive her recognition as the Movie Supportive Actress of the year for the movie, Seven Sundays.
Cristine seemed uncomfortable when reporters walked up to her.
“Ambush? Ayaw ko sanang magpa-interview.”
However, Cristine still answered questions about her recognition as an actress. ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe asked about issues about her that circulated around her marriage with Ali Khatibi. Cristine dodged the question and walked away.
“Haha, ‘maya na lang.”
Cristine and Ali’s relationship are rumored to be on the rocks as she had posted a quote on an Instagram post.
“Dear God, I pray for my marriage right now. Please guard my relationship with my husband and protect us against elements that tempt or taunt us to ruin what we have. Convict our hearts when we are wrong or un-righteous, fill us with a passion to get better and bless us with a deep love for each other in Jesus name AMEN.”
Cristine clarified the said post in an earlier report.
“Actually, I just got it from Pinterest, so parang… I don’t know why people made a big deal out of it.”
Aside from this statement, Cristine and Ali have yet to confirm, deny or even clarify the status of their relationship.
