After being romantically linked together and gaining rift in write-ups, Ahron Villena and Kakai Bautista are now starring in Harry & Patty (A Beginning of a not so beautiful love story).
In an interview on PEP.ph, Ahron answered whether the title could be compared to his relationship with Kakai.
Just close friends
Ahron shared that he and Kakai grew close when they were in Japan.
“Si Kakai po kasi, sobrang naging close kami niyan. Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, naging close kami sa Japan. Doon nagsimula ang friendship namin.”
Kakai as his mother?
However, an immigration officer in Japan thought Kakai was his mother. That’s when their friendship started.
“Napagkamalan siyang nanay ko ng Immigration Officer ng Japan. Dun talaga nag-start and from there, yung friendship namin, tumagal nang tumagal. Hanggang sa dumating sa point na yung mga taong malisyoso, yung mga taong iba ang iniisip, nagkaroon kami ng gap.”
Ahron also slammed people for creating an issue whenever they get their pictures taken.
“Yung ibang tao. Yung mga sumawsaw na. ‘Tapos, may mga pictures kami sa Instagram, mga unplanned na parang, ‘O tara, picture tayong dalawa.’ ‘Tapos yung mga tao ang nagbibigay ng meaning.”
Ahron also insisted that they are just close friends.
“Pero we are really good friends talaga. Yung sa Japan, doon naging close kami.”
