“Totoong nurse. Di peke.” Suzette Doctolero reacts to “Kambal Karibal” washing machine meme

  • Suzette Doctolero responded to a netizen about a Kambal Karibal meme on Twitter.
  • In the said tweet, a long tube is attached to the mouth of Kyline Alcantara that looks like the one seen on a washing machine.
  • Suzette said that production was properly guided by a real nurse.

Kapuso head writer Suzette Doctolero responded to a netizen about a Kambal Karibal meme on Twitter. The said tweet compared a mechanical ventilator tube to the one attached to a washing machine.

In the finale episode of Kambal Karibal, Pauline Mendoza’s character, who inhabited Kyline Alcantara’s body, was dying while Bianca Umali cries beside her.

Suzette’s response

Suzette first confirmed that this was legitimately correct. She pointed out that it was a real tube they used in the hospitals.

“Yes. Confirmed na legit yan. At tama. Ganyan talaga itsura Nung ginagamit na tubing sa ospital. So wrong ang mga mema dyan sa tweet na yan. Sama sama sila, wala man Lang (Umalam) sa totoo except sa isa.”

Marc Baculi noted that he is not a fan of any television series. He, however, is a nurse and he confirmed that it was real tubes hospitals use in a mechanical ventilator and they are usually in light blue.

“Im not a fan of any teleserye pero ganyan po talaga ang tubings ng mechanical ventilator, the usual color is light blue, meron din pong puti kagaya niyang nasa picture.. Just saying.. Thank you”

Suzette thanked Marc in response.

“Salamat! Haha”

Nurse assisted

A netizen noted that the production should have used the assistance of a doctor or a nurse.

“sorry pero mali po yan. hindi po pinapasok ang buong endotracheal tube. may certain level po depending on the size. dito po kasi pasok lahat, pati ang conmector. you could have asked the assistance of a nurse/doctor.”

Suzette said that they did have a real nurse in the production.

“May nag assist na nurse sa production. Totoong nurse. Di peke. :)”
