Marco Gumabao reveals that being sexy helps attract projects but “ayokong makilala na naghuhubad lang”

  • Marco Gumabao is grateful for the surge of projects.
  • Marco will star in four movies and one TV series this year.
  • He admits that having a perfectly shaped body helps attract projects.

Marco Gumabao is on a winning streak. His latest movie “Para Sa Brokenhearted” will be his fourth project under Viva Films.

Marco considers his upcoming movie as his biggest break since he plays the lead role. The actor is also part of the sexy flick “Abay Babes,” the Anne Curtis 2018 MMFF entry “Aurora,” and Nadine Lustre’s solo movie “Ulan.”

He is grateful for the opportunities granted to him by Viva films, especially for “Para Sa Brokenhearted.”

“Happy ako, siyempre,” he remarked.

“And at the same time nakaka-pressure kasi movie na yan, kailangan paying audience na ang makuha mo.

“But at the same time ano naman, confident naman kami sa project na binigay sa amin. Maganda naman yung movie, so sana magustuhan ng mga tao.”

Marco is also aware that showcasing his body is one of the reasons why his star is suddenly on the rise.

“Kung ‘yun naman talaga yung bebenta sa ‘yo then use it di ba?

“Eh, before nung medyo bata-bata ako, nung chubby ako, talagang ano, medyo malayo pa sa ngayon. So, I guess na malaking tulong rin talaga siya.

“Pero at the same time, ayoko naman siyang gamitin all the time para makuha yung mga roles. Ayoko naman na makilala lang na, ‘Ay, si Marco Gumabao naghuhubad lang.’

“Siyempre gusto ko makilala na marunong umarte tapos maganda rin yung katawan. Bonus na lang yung maganda ang katawan.”

He also confessed that even when he is no longer with Star Magic, his heart is still with ABS-CBN.

“Ako talaga, my heart is with ABS (CBN) talaga. Andon lahat yung mga boss na talagang napakabait sa akin. You feel at home with them. And siyempre, aminin natin, it’s the best station also.

“Malaking desisyon for me na umalis noon sa Star Magic, kasi unang-una, I was gonna leave my mother network, mawawala ako sa ABS. And for me, hindi ako sure kung makakakuha pa ako ng project sa ABS no’n.

“Parang for me, it was a risk na I was gonna take. Kasi ako, medyo risk taker din ako. Mahilig akong sumugal sa mga ano.

“Because hindi ko naman malalaman if  gagana yung isang bagay kung hindi ko ita-try,” he explained.

Aside from the four movies, Marco will soon appear on television in ABS-CBN’s upcoming series “Los Bastardos.”
