  • October is so scary, so good on Netflix
  • New horror series and films to stream this Halloween

You’re in for a scary good time, as Netflix unveils an exciting Halloween lineup that will have you checking under the bed and sleeping with the lights on. From supernatural monsters, to a haunted house straight from your nightmares, and a darker take on your favorite teenage witch, here are the new Netflix titles for your screaming — er, streaming pleasure.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina  — streams on October 26

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the daylight world humans inhabit.

The Haunting of Hill House — streams on October 12

Part-horror and part-psychological drama, The Haunting of Hill House is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s legendary novel of the same name. It revolves around five siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America. Now adults, they’re reunited by the suicide of their youngest sister, forcing them to finally confront the ghosts of their own past, some which lurk in their minds, and some which may really be lurking in the shadows of the iconic Hill House.

Haunted — streams on October 19

Real people sit down with friends and family to share true stories of terrifying events that continue to haunt them.

Hold The Dark — streams on September 28

This psychological horror centers on a young boy in a remote Alaskan village who is killed by a rogue wolf. A wildlife naturalist is summoned from the mainland to investigate, only to be involved in a dangerous triangle with the boy’s grieving mother and unstable father, sending them all on a violent odyssey to the edge of their own humanity.

Apostle — streams on October 12

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited Thomas, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

Bonus:

Riverdale: Season 3 — streams on October 11

Riverdale returns to your screens this October, so get ready for more shocking twists and turns, more body counts, and more dark and dangerous secrets to be uncovered.

Get your fright on when you watch these Netflix titles this October. Want more? Check out netflix.com/scarygood or watch the scary good YouTube trailer: October Is So Scary, So Good on Netflix.
