Showbiz insider and content creator Ogie Diaz stirred political discussion after commenting on Vice President Sara Duterte’s announcement that she will run for president in 2028.

In a recent Facebook post, Diaz, known to have supported former vice president Leni Robredo in the 2022 elections — shared a conversation with a friend who is a loyal Duterte supporter.
“A DDS friend told me, ‘Mag-shift ka na kay Sara Duterte, walang katalo-talo sa 2028!’”
Diaz acknowledged Duterte’s perceived political strength.
“Alam ko namang malakas si VP Sara. Pag mahina kalaban niyan, panalo yan. Pag marami siyang makakalaban, panalo pa rin siya,” he wrote.
However, he clarified that his vote would depend on how she addresses the issues surrounding her.
Hahaha!”
Diaz also said he is willing to listen if Duterte presents data-backed accomplishments.
“Kahit siguro yung accomplishments na lang ng OVP, pwede namang ilatag na lang niya with datos, willing naman ako to listen.”

Diaz stressed the importance of transparency and clear communication.
He expressed hope that Duterte would articulate her positions clearly and without relying heavily on prepared scripts.
Diaz also urged all presidential aspirants to participate in public debates.
He cautioned against candidates refusing televised debates.
Diaz concluded with a reminder about the weight of the presidency: “Tandaan: Hindi po anim na araw o buwan ang pinag-uusapan dito.
Vice President Sara Duterte has yet to respond to Diaz’s remarks.
