A new segment awaits the madlang people this Monday, as ‘It’s Showtime’ introduced ‘KapareWHO’ as it tries to play cupid to two young at heart ‘WHOmahanaps’ or girl searchers to get a chance at love and friendship for a particular day.
Curious on how this segment goes? Here’s a quick view:
- There will be two “WHOmahanaps” or girl searchers trying to find a new friend in the show. In this case, it’s Pretty Sakura21 and Carebear. Sakura was a client relations officer turned manicurist and Carebear is a caregiver and solo parent with an eleven-year-old kid.

- These “WHOmahanaps” will be housed in a made up bar props just to hide their appearance to the “KalaWHOks”.

- The “KalaWHOks” are the boy searchers to be paired and chosen by the “WHOmahanaps” later on. They appear to be in threes (“Totoy Bibo”, “Boy Kulit”, and “Superman”) and the one not picked will be back the following day till he gets chosen.

- There are three parts to the game; the first round is called “A-pair-tayo.” It’s a way of getting to know each other as the girl searchers throw questions that need to be answered by the male participants. The girls were then asked to give feedback on the answers they liked. The second round is called the “may awe-some pa” which creates an interaction between two parties because of the challenges given to them. The last one is called “The Wow”. Our “KalaWHOks” need to work on their charm and impress our “WHOmahanaps” with their wisdom and wit from the questions given by the hosts.

- After the third round, the “WHOmahanaps” can now discuss among themselves and choose who their kalawhoks will be. The chosen “KalaWHOk” will be revealed in a tagboard with their names written on it.
- Prizes await the lucky pairs, Totoy Bibo and Pretty Sakura21, Boy Kulit and Carebear – as they get the chance for a summer getaway, good for four persons at a local beach destination.
- Here’s the catch! Prettysakura almost picked his ex-boyfriend, “Boy Makulit,” over her new found friend, “Totoy Bibo.” See how destiny works in mysterious ways!
