Veteran actor Eddie Garcia has ended his glorious movie career after succumbing to severe neck injuries on Thursday, June 20.
At around 4:55 PM, the Makati Medical Center issued a bulletin confirming his death after the actor had been in a coma for more than a week.
Manoy spent seven decades of his life doing films and TV series, his latest being GMA Network’s Rosang Agimat where he met the accident that cost him his life.
Meanwhile, it is not yet clear whether the controversial series will continue after the incident or if it will be shelved for the meantime.
Aside from the decision on the future of Rosang Agimat, GMA Network also has yet to conclude its investigation on the on-set accident that involved Eddie Garcia.
GMA Network has yet to establish whether the accident was brought about by safety hazards on the set or any other circumstances that led to Manoy’s falling to the ground face first.
As of this writing, Garcia’s ashes are currently at Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig. The wake will be open to the public until Sunday.
