Right after his successful cross-over film Hello, Love, Goodbyewith Kathryn Bernardo under Star Cinema, Alden Richards is now preparing for his comeback teleserye with mother network GMA Network.
The new series is tentatively titled The Gift. Alden will be playing a character who has a third eye that sees paranormal phenomena. He is rumored to be teaming up with Mikee Quintos. Mikee is one of the actresses on the list of Alden’s possible on-screen partner after the recent split of AlDub.
Alden earned praises for his acting in the romance drama film Hello, Love, Goodbye directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
During the movie’s blog conference a day after its premiere, Director Cathy said that she saw her favorite actor John Lloyd Cruz in Alden in this movie.
“Without ano to the John Lloyd fans ha, hindi ko kino-compare pero alam niyo naman na ang aking (batayan) ng actingan ay ang aking panganay na si John Lloyd. Merong mga portions na nakikita ko si Lloydie sa kanya. Meron siyang mga bitaw ng linya na ‘parang si Idan ha.’ Meron siyang bitaw na parang natural. At hindi lang ako nakapansin pati staff ko,” Director Cathy said.
